Briony Towler

Briony is an Indianapolis native and long time lover of dance and music. After graduating from the University of Southern Indiana, she began her career in Finance while slowly finding her way back into dance training. When she’s not at the studio or work, she can usually be found listening to music or true crime, boxing, volunteering, or practicing electric guitar. As a previous Stage Manager on the Tech team for Seda Negra Black Silk last season, she is ecstatic for the journey ahead as a new dancer with the company.

How does the narrative of Cruces/Intersections affect you?

The narrative of gives a familiar feeling. It speaks to our life’s challenges and triumphs, and trusting your journey through it while be accountable of your influence on your life’s path. For me, God provides an added layer to not only trust your journey, but to maintain trust in yourself, your gifts, and discernment. For you can be led to water that may be towards your life’s purpose, but you will not be forced to drink when you get there. Drinking is your own will and decision.

What has Cruces/Intersections made you think about in your own life?

Every day that we make decisions we choose a direction without seeing the outcome, but I have taken the opportunity to reflect on my past pathways while looking toward the signs ahead. Some might be obvious, but some may have delayed reward. I’ve realigned to focus on being open and present for blessings coming to me, and the pathways I follow or am led to from them.
