Ronald King

Ron is an Illinois native living in Indiana since 2005. After completing his degree from Wabash College, Ron moved to Bloomington, where he joined the African American Dance Company under the direction of founding director Iris Rosa. He danced for the company for eight seasons, completing his tenure under the direction of Baba Stafford C. Berry, Jr.. Ron has also danced with Echo Dance Company under the direction of Jaclyn Hatfield and has competed in competitions nationwide.

How does the narrative of Cruces/Intersections affect you?

This narrative prompts me to reflect on the multitude of roads and pathways we navigate each day. Every decision serves as a milestone shaping our journey toward the next destination. While the ultimate endpoint may remain unseen, we're perpetually on a journey that molds our lives.

What has Cruces/Intersections made you think about in your own life?

Cruces has prompted me to ponder the various intentional and unintentional stimuli that have shaped my journeys. This piece also underscores the impact of the people around us, who can either influence or hinder our paths through their connection to our lives.
